Our Operations

Through the lens of efficiency.

Romania and Moldova – Renewable energy

Premier Energy Group entered the renewable energy sector in 2022 and has since steadily grown its operations through various acquisitions and developments.

Renewable energy

In Romania, Premier Energy Group leads the way in renewable energy aggregation services, offering solutions covering approximately 1100 MW of capacity. This includes both proprietary generation assets and contracted supply agreements with third-party providers, solidifying our position as a key player in the dynamic energy sector.
Through our group companies, we expand our services to include asset management solutions. These encompass a full range of outsourcing services, from administrative and contract management to reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.

In Moldova, we are the premier renewable energy supplier and aggregator, boasting a substantial 20% share of the installed renewables capacity.

Aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals and Europe’s Green Deal initiatives, our business strategy prioritizes sustainability and environmental responsibility. With renewable energy generation capacity in Romania and a significant presence in Moldova, we are committed to driving the transition to cleaner, greener energy solutions.

Romania – Natural gas

Premier Energy Group became the third-largest gas distributor and supplier in Romania in 2014, according to the Romanian National Energy Regulatory Authority (ANRE). Natural gas distribution extends to both households and non-households customers and on the other part, the supply activity is focused on customers in the concession network and industrial customers outside its concession network.

Gas distribution

In Romania, it operates 132 distribution concessions, (out of which 21 are greenfield concessions). Distribution concessions are located around Bucharest and the Southern and Western parts of Romania and operate a distribution network of over 3.800 km. Being in the process of expanding the network, it aims to increase the network length by approximately 400 km by the end of 2026.
Focused on the quality of its pipelines, a vast majority of capital expenditure has been for pipelines including Polyethylene 100, a material which makes approximately 80% of the pipeline compatible with a potential hydrogen distribution in the future.
Also, the modernization efforts have reduced defects and gas leakages.

Gas supply

Premier Energy Group supplies gas to both household and non-household free-market customers. As a component of its “business-to-business” sales activity to key account and middle-market customers, it also sells gas to customers who are connected to other distribution networks or directly to the national transport system.

Romania – electricity supply

In April 2024, the group completed the acquisition of CEZ Vanzare, one of the leading electricity suppliers in Romania, which was subsequently renamed Premier Energy Furnizare.
